Melting Snowman
Cupcakes

You will need:

1 box cupcake mix

2 containers of whipped frosting

Bag of black icing

Bag of blue icing

Marshmallows

Orange Starburst candies

24 cupcake liners

Bake cupcakes as directed and let cool for 30 minutes. While they are cooling, take this time to create the heads of your snowmen. Take a small knife and poke through and rotate to make an opening for the nose to be inserted. Open your Starburst candies and cut them into carrot shapes. Insert the Starburst into the opening you created. Take your black icing bag and gently dot on the eyes and mouth.

These snowmen are loaded with frosting, so using the whipped frosting is best. Put your frosting in a piping bag and use the largest tip you have available. Move the tip in a circular motion from the outside in and leave a good heap in the center. Place your decorated marshmallow heads on the center and push down to give the “melted” effect. Take your black icing bag and pipe in the arms. Finish with your blue icing bag to dot on the buttons in front.

Popcorn Cupcakes

You will need:

1 box of cupcake mix

1 container of white frosting

2 bags of small marshmallows

Yellow food coloring

24 cupcake liners

For the popcorn wrapper, go online and find a template you can download and print off.

Making the popcorn kernels is a little time consuming for the desired look. Set aside about an hour of your time. Take one small marshmallow and cut halfway through down the middle. Then flip the marshmallow and cut about halfway through the other side diagonally. This will make the marshmallow twist itself and look like the real thing.

Bake cupcakes as directed and let cool for 30 minutes. Once cooled, apply a decent amount of white frosting on top to make sure your popcorn marshmallows will stick. When they are all topped, get a very small bowl of water and put in a few drops of yellow food coloring. Take a brush and apply a thin layer of the food coloring mixture on top for the “buttered” look.

Take your print-outs and wrap them around the cupcakes and tape in the back. Fun for any occasion!

Minion Cupcakes

You will need:

1 box of cupcake mix

1 container of white frosting

Black icing bag

Blue food coloring

Blue cupcake wrappers

Twinkies

Brown cupcake sprinkles

Blue sugar sprinkles

Candy eyes

Bake cupcakes as directed and let cool for 30 minutes. While waiting, open your Twinkies and cut each of them in half. Take the long brown sugar sprinkles and insert them in the top of the Twinkie for the Minion hair.

Take your black icing bag and draw the frames of the glasses (be sure to leave a little extra to place the eyes on) and mouth. Apply the eyes immediately.

Mix your white frosting with some blue food coloring to try to best match the cupcake liner. To help darken your color, use the blue sugar sprinkles.

Press your Minion heads on top and watch the kiddos enjoy!

Snow Cone Cupcakes

You will need:

1 box of cupcake mix

1 container of white frosting

24 cupcake liners

24 snack cups

Blue sugar sprinkles

Red sugar sprinkles

Yellow sugar sprinkles

Small spoons

For snow cone wrapper, make your own fun design and cut out to wrap inside the snack cup.

Bake cupcakes as directed and let cool for 30 minutes. While waiting you can prep your snack cups with your design you created. I found that the smaller cupcakes would slide to the bottom, so I placed a folded napkin at the bottom of each snack cup and gave it the desired lift I wanted (plus it comes in handy when you are done eating this treat).

Take 3 bowls and pour your red, blue and yellow sprinkles in each separately. Frost your cupcake and dip a 1/3 of the cupcake in the blue sugar, turn and dip the other 1/3 side in the red sprinkles and save the strip down the middle for the yellow sugar sprinkles. Drop each cupcake in the snack cup and add a little spoon for something extra fun for the kids!
