Real Faces. Real Voices.
Real Women in Healthcare.
Verlene Olson
Receptionist
Q: Why are you passionate about your job?
A: I have always enjoyed helping people. For twenty-five years,
I worked as a bank teller and for the last twelve, I have worked
as a receptionist at Yankton Medical Clinic. It has always been
important to me to make each and every person feel that I am
doing what I can to make their visit a positive one. As a
receptionist, I am given that opportunity every day.
Q: What changes have you seen since you started?
A: I think one of the biggest changes was the new addition
to the clinic. With the expansion came more room for
surgical procedures, oncology and specialty doctors. Two
other changes that have also contributed to the continued
health care of our patients is the addition of the MRI and
digital mammogram equipment.
Q:
A:
Why do you love working for
Yankton Medical Clinic?
I love working at the Yankton Medical Clinic
because I have met so many wonderful and caring
co-workers and patients while I have been employed
here. I like to think I made a difference in someone else’s day,
but it is usually someone else that brightens my day.
So Much Care,
So Close to Home.
